Did anyone else drink Michelob back in the day when it was in that cool swoopy brown bottle?

From 1977 to about 1979 that was the beer of choice amongst me and my friends when we really felt like going out on the town big time.

I think it was basically Bud in a different bottle.

Holy poop, I memeber that commercial. Oldness. I wonder what the combination of feeling old and having your first kid does? Is it like having a humidifier and a dehumidifier in the same room (apoligies to comedian I stole that from, Steven Wright maybe?).

Sorry, back to OG beer talk. Really dug FF's old school Black Label can pic, good stuff.

Yea man, my dad was a Michelob guy, when I was heading out on a typical hangout night used to dip into his stash in our basement fridge to grab a six, loved those brown bomber bottles of Michelob (even in the dead of winter with a beer glove they were still delicious)

I'm older than most here but don't remember store brand beers. Bohack, really?
We drank Rheingold exclusively. Had to - NY brewed plus they had the Miss Rheingold contest. Hotter girls than Miss America.
Drank the quarts. Had one every other day walking home from football practice. They never proofed then.

I can't get to Youtube at work but my favorite commericial when I was a kid was that Old Milwaukee commercial where they're drinking in the mountains, pulling out lobsters and icy cold beer with the voice over:

"It just doesn't get any better than this".

Tennents of scotland had girls on the can. Hot, but the type you might actually get lucky enough to pickup in a bar.

Remember when you sent you girlfriend to go get the beer you hid from your parents? Good times.
