That doesn't make any sense.

Spend more time with your poodle. Maybe the intelligence will rub off on you.

We just got a new DSL modem/router (yeah, DSL, I know, but normally its rock solid) and it keeps dropping literally every 15 minutes.

It's happening connecting wirelessly and through a wired connection.

Is there any partciualr settings in the router I should be looking at to help combat this nonsense? We're using Cisco VPN 5.0.06.0160
Is this IPSec VPN? what is the remote device terminating the VPN? Is it managed by you or your organization or 3rd party? PM me a "sh log" from the remote VPN endpoint and from your VPN client.

Id look at the wireless first before the VPN.

Yo fish - the Cisco VPN client also has the ability to set the mtu rate on the Cisco virtual adapter - try lowering it as well if ur still having issues.

Yeah I beleive it is IPSec, and it's being managed by my office, I beleive.
I tried wirelessly and hardwired, same crap.

My MTU on my router is set to 1500, I may lower it down to 1200 or so & see if that works. I have to check the logs on the client to see what's killing the session.

I think he meant that you should pass a magnet over your hard drive and not actually RUN a magnet over your hard drive which could lead to problems depending on the footwear in use at the time.
