Mohegan, something is not right with you. 966 posts since 2003 (with probably 100 in the last week), and now you decide to come on like gangbusters by posting myriad videos, comments, engaging in discussions with which you have way too much backstory, etc?

I have my suspicions. ( I dig you, BTW. Just wish you would let us in on the alter ego.)

Sit back....(Emerson's fills and overall organ tone still astounds.)

Yes, all of it sounds good to me, sounds sometimes like Creed, Tool, A in C. The spacey Floydish song I liked, pretty wild almost two different ends of the spectrum presented by the artist.

It's amazing we had so many choices of music and the vast majority was well done. Would never have thought that I would be looking back at the late 70's and 80's saying hey some of the stuff you thought was not so great really isn't bad after all I'm not saying ELP fits that bill by any means. Music and groups today for the most part is like everything else plastic and disposable.

Bubblegum music in the 60s and 70s (although I hated it) is miles better than most of the pop garbage today. There are plenty of great new artists. It's just that most don't get any airplay. Folks are content with same sounding performers mired in the "Star Search"/vocal histrionics mold.

I wore that album out completely on my old technics turntable.

I then started to listen to guys who influenced Emerson. You can hear Karn Evil 9 impression 2 and 3 influence in the Oscar Peterson solo.
