Nu? So what's so special in Mars? Do they have a sport similar to football? Any delicious treats similar to the Twinkee?

What are we talkin' here?

But think about how you'd be treated there if you introduced them to beer. It'd be like Max being made king of all the Wild Things x100.

You could open up a Biergarten with a mediocre selection and no one would say ****.

Nah, there's always someone who would complain that it's not an authentic earth biergarten.

Let me know if we get any Tang® or Velcro™ for our $2.5 billion.

We don't want to give a penny for "lazy losers" healthcare but will gladly write a check for this waste of time.

Yep.

Thats exactly right.

But I'll make you a deal, we can have 12 less F-35 Fighter Planes, if we can continue to be the leaders in science and space exploration. How's that sound?

Or do you just hate Science?

I think science should be privately funded. If there is a benefit, that shouldn't be a problem.

Why is government in the business of science?

Fix the pothole down the street already.

I think Healthcare should be privately funded for the non-disabled/non-elderly. If you want healthcare, get a job and pay for it.

Why is Government in the business of tending to boo boo's for the able bodied?

To answer your question, Government is in the business of science because science and the quest for knowledge serves all people.

Kinda like why Government is in the Businss of Schools and Environmental Studies.....except NASA does a better job, despite it's failings, than the Public School, FDA, EPA or a host of other agencies do.

I'd cut Millitary spending and Welfare spending both, happily, to have more NASA hard science projects.

Because the Federal Govt. is responsible for Potholes.

Nice to see your understanding of Government is still as brilliantly limited as it's ever been.
