Or to media types who want to make it a story.

One ESPN broadcast had Rex losing the team because of the fight, and that the fight was a showcase of how big of a joke the team is. No team would fight with itself.

Really, you can't click on one thread to look for football news. Everything is a media spin.

No offense, but stupid comments like this only perpetuate this whole Tebow thing that's going on.

Pushing and shoving, yes; but this?

A bit different.

It looks like two guys fighting and then the rest of the team trying to break it up.

Yes, but when it happens to teams like the JETS, who's HC and staff admit they lost their team last season it becomes a story.

This can happen at Pats, Steeler, and Giants camp but it is not a story.

But when the Jets have a major brawl over nonsense and the HC, who admits that he lost this team which lead to a losing streak that kept them out off the playoffs after guaranteeing multiple SBs by now, it becomes major news. its like all the WORDS that rex claimed at season end mean nothing AGAIN.

If this were the only negative example it gets a pass. Add this to Rex claiming he is the best defensive coach in the NFL, Holmes comments, Cromartie's comments, the Otah trade, Hunter starting, and the negative circus atmosphere that the tim tebow trade has brought us, well this fight becomes "one more thing."

IMHO, this is not "just a brawl" like any other in TCs around the NFL. Its just another example of how Rex and his philosophy for winning championships warrants questioning.

I don't care, and I think a lot of other people don't care either. People are beginning to wise up to the "blowing out of proportions" aspect of the media.

These types of things happen in camps all the time.

1. He is the best defensive coach in the NFL, probably, so that was not a problem.

2. Holmes is a jackass. T.O. was a jackass too and yet he kept getting signed. Accept it and move on.

3. The Otah trade was a good attempt that didn't work out.

4. Last year was last year. This year is this year.

I like it. If we're willing to do this to our own players, imagine what we'll do to the other teams.

1) Rex loves to let everyone know how great HIS defense is. Stats after stats are boasted yet watching the games, they just dont seem that dominant. When Tebow (and others) march down the field on final drives to lose games you cant go and tell everyone how great you are. They look like fools every time Rex opens his mouth putting more of a bulls eye on the offense and young QB because opposing teams are now more focused on shutting Rex up. I guess Rex didnt learn from last year.

2) What is your point? So other teams sign jackasses so we should? Why not learn from the great franchises like Pitt, Giants, and Pats who seem to know when to cut ties with players who act like jackasses?

3) Good attempt? Your kidding right? Trading for Otah is a good attempt when you have a good to great RT in place, not when you are looking for every and any attempt to replace Hunter. Good attempt? It was a desperate attept where the JETS look foolish again. Sanchez lack of progression can be easily directed at Hunter's poor play last season, right from the very first play of the season! A good attempt would have been to draft Riley Rieff or David De Castro to improve our awful OLINE play and send a message to the team that all sides of the ball will be addressed. Its not like we have a lot of talent at OLINE and no one could complain addressing those positions. Instead we take Coples who might be great but DLINE was not the problem, if anything you could argue that DLINE was young and developing. Ask yourself, if Rex is the greatest defensive coach in the NFL, why does he need a first round pick at DE when OLINE was such an issue? Couldnt Rex make more with less being he is so great at defensive coaching?

4) Last year the HC admits that the collapse was his fault. That he lost the locker room and that things would change. So far, the HC has put a bulls eye on the offense by claiming he is the greatest defensive coach in the NFL Holmes and Cro still mouth off, and after addressing his team yesterday about the team brawl they responded by having another one less than 24 hours later.

Unfortunately you're spot on with this comment.

Way too many people on this board:

1) Buy into the media hype machine that makes everything a major controversy;

2) Look for any little excuse to whine and complain because they, by nature, exist to whine and complain; and/or

3) Look for any little excuse to whine and complain because they crave the attention said whining and complaining receives on this board (I call this SAR syndrome).
