If that's aluminum with no carbon you'd be wise to swap out that seat with a Gel model. Your butt will thank you.

Thanks, I plan on getting one of the gel saddle sleeves at first, heard they are pretty good. Eventually I'll invest in a really good saddle.

Saw someone riding one of these today, never heard of them. Are they good? I'm guessing yes.

A famous US hi-end brand of mountain and road bikes manufactured in Washington State that was bought out by Trek about 17 years ago and moved to Wisconsin. Trek stopped producing Klein bikes in 2005.

In the Seinfeld series a Klein mountain bike hangs in Jerry's apartment.

So yes, they have a great reputation and a good looking bike.

I made a small investment on a Cannondale to start training for triathlons:

What is your training routine? You have some very decent bikes.

Nice! I saw that and the CAAD10, cool looking road bikes.

I don't have a training routine, nor do I think I will. This is all about enjoyment for me, maybe some personal challenges or goals, but nothing hardcore. I highly doubt you'll ever see me on a road bike with a cycling bib on.

So, it's the second day that I've had the bike and I am having a lot of fun. Downloaded an app called Cyclemeter that tracks your route, time, speed etc. I'm starting slow, concentrating on things like obstacle avoidance, cadence and safety before I go very far. I did a half mile more today than yesterday in the same amount of time, so I am pushing myself more. Even blasted downhill at 26 MPH! Good times.

That's a nice bike! I own a specialized sirrus fitness bike with carbon fork. I picked it up used in excellent condition for $400.

For a big guy like me (5'11" 260) it's great. I hope to move to a legit road bike as I get in better shape. Congrats on the ride!

Some quick and dirty pics of the new toy:

Went 15 miles today, just over 50 for the week. I'm really enjoying this, safe to say I'm hooked. I already started looking at winter cycling gear.
