I put in a softener this AM that eliminates the iron with chlorine. Pretty cool...it makes it's own chlorine, so I don't have to add any or adjust the levels. Just uses the last few minutes of the recharge cycle and siphons some of the salt brine and uses a little generator to make a supply of chlorine. And then another filter takes out the chlorine.

My bro redid his bathroom a couple of years ago. There was an old cast iron bathtub. Thing was an anvil.

Good luck, and Costco has a good deal on comfort height dual flush toilets with a soft closing lid included, $80 for the two piece and I think $140 for the one piece.
