The jets have consistently placed a low value on the kicking game for about the past 5 years. Perhaps they think Westoff can 'coach em up'. For a team that is all about defense and game management not having a great punter and great fg kicker is outrageous. Don't worry we'll bring in some psquad cut to compete later on. this front office is very poor 'in the details'

Well said Beerfish Westhoff is a great coach but a lousy personnel guy and when it comes to the special teams I believe Tanny defers to Westy 's judgement. Considering how our team is functioning getting a punter should be a priority.

The problem with the Jets and any other non-successful organization is management. The Jets problem didn't just happen overnight it's been building since Rex came in....the coaching staff has had quite a few changes from last year because management felt in was a losing proposition or the coaches themselves could not work with Rex. Mr. t has not really addressed crucial needs and has been to reactive putting the Jets are on a downward slope. I'm afraid/happy that this season might be lost, 6-10 or 7-9. BTW woody J is lost....an owner with money but no "balls"

i fully expect Conley to be cut and the Jets week 1 punter is not on the roster.

Unlike Right Tackle or Wide Receiver there really are instant upgrades at Punter and they will be on the waivers soon.

this is why Sanchez is holding for XP cause they don't want to be worried about the holder when they cut Conley. the writing is on the wall with this guy, he's done.

The only other guy who walks on water in the club besides Tanny is Westhoff.
