we need a cutback RB ... shifty with breakout speed.
I'd even settle for Noel Devine
I don't care undrafted, CFL options, unsigned ... Greene isn't going to cut it and we can't just pray Mcknight is that guy. Someone else needs to be brought in and you never know. Can anyone think of anyone? Even if they are a stretch but have that speed and ability. |

great post bro. but i rather use that money for a better o-line. its horrendous right now. having this will create better gaps for said jag running back to run through.

we need a competent RT...our RBs aren't great but they are good enough. Tanny needs to make some kind of deal NOW!!!

I agree.
But this offense is not designed for "cutback RBs". RB is pretty far down on the list. RT, WR, blocking TE on offense. Then maybe a RB who can pass block first. |

in this league running backs should be a dime a dozen so to alot of jet fans its a weak issue compared to what really needs to be done. the o-line. instead of the ground and pound philosophy we should follow the trend and actually put points on the board by being a pass happy offense. running the ball is great if we want to eat up clock time or setup a field goal but really in this league the passing game is where its at and anyone that thinks different is living in the past. |

neevs, I agree with you.
But to get that type of offense is going to require a regime change. I am praying that Sparano makes us all look like idiots. But I have seen this movie before. |

I agree. A good back would have busted some long runs with the holes we were giving Greene vs. Giants. He was only able to manage 5-7 yards while an above average RB would have been breaking off 15+ bursts.

Wonder if the Pats plan on keeping both Ridley and Vereen. They looked pretty good against the Saints.

Greene lacks the burst to hit the hole and get through and gain some yards, seems to hit the holes when closing and gets caught. Need a back with that burst of speed to hit the hole while open and gain some yards....

Powell may be our ace in the hole when said and done. He's looked great in camp and I've been impressed with some of his carries in preseason. He's showed some burst.

Dont worry about the running backs. First build a line that can run the ball.

This guy has a long way to go IMO. And RB's shouldn't take long to develop. Our RB's dont scare anyone. |

DeAngelo Williams will be cut soon. Could be a great option.

Jonathan Stewart just got payed last week and they signed Tolbert to a big deal in the off season. Do the math people. No way they keep him.
His money is not guaranteed. |

Stewart was just extended. Tolbert was signed.
Why the hell would they tie up all that money into 3 RB's? If Williams is cut they should grab him. Otherwise, after RT is addressed, they should make a move for Jerious Norwood or Earnest Graham. Either would provide valuable depth |
