fwiw Robert T Griffin was the 2nd team RT on Sat night. (Austin Howard was 2nd team LT). Of all the options, Howard seems the one most realistically that could replace Hunter.

The Jets are too late in the offseason to consider street free agents. It's all been picked over and there are teams actually who have worse tackle situations than the Jets (the Cardinals for example just lost Levi Brown probably for the year).

Much as I wish there were a way out, at this point no way. Who's going to come in and learn our offense in 2 weeks ? Our protection schemes ? Nobody.

Because of Tannenbaum's lack of foresight, the Jets have to just make due this year. The OL coach & OC have their work cut out for them.

Howard taking a few reps at RT with first-team line, Ducasse at RG. Could simply be rest. #nyj

It was clear that he was not going to make the team when Robert Griffin was taking 2nd team reps at RT over him.

Still, I wish they would just sign Kareem McKenzie. Move Hunter to a backup role.

I'll bet money that they will sign another corner before a OT.

This seriously has to demotivate the rest of the starters. How can this guy be allowed to **** on the offense (and lineman in general) and keep his job?

If the team is going to be forced to carry this dead weight all season, it's time for Hunter to get a good old-fashioned Private Pyle blanket party.

NYC trending topic #sacked RT @RichCimini: Pass pro issues persist. Sanchez sacked by unblocked Pace, Tebow sacked twice in first 3 plays.

NY Sack Exchange is back!

And Cinci lost starter LG Wharton the week before.

Point is, it's NOT too late to keep looking elsewhere, especially when there's no other choice.

Maybe, just maybe, Otah will get his trip together and revisit.

If a newb gets up to speed by Week 4 it's better than no fix at all.

LOL

That sounds more like Brick.

Hunter at least tries and gets tossed; Brick is the one that misses blocks entirely.

We seem to be stacked with backup D linemen. Can't we trade one of these to a team that needs one for an ot better than Wayne hunter?
