Aside from our OL, WR, RB, and QB our offense looks excellent
Its really not as bad as it seems. I'm sure we'll get things turned around in two weeks.
Rex said he can take any 11 guys and make them a top 5 defense. So it makes a lot of sense that we spend 90% of our picks on Defense. Last edited by Funaz; 08-20-2012 at 02:29 PM. |

I disagree. Our TEs suck as well.

Yeah, in a league where the 2 SB teams had about 10K yards combined passing, I feel wonderful about ground and pound with a shaky o-line. That should equal a championship, right?
This place is going to be so ugly if the Bills beat us in week 1 with a trip to Pittsburgh on the horizon. |

Does anyone really think Mario Williams isn't sitting there right now salivating at the thought of lining up against Hunter? But wait, we'll scare them with our "secret" weapon Tebow, that'll show everyone

Jets Fans in total meltdown mode.
I don't get it. Give the team a chance before we start cutting this guy, and cutting the next guy |

I think Cumberland and Keller are good receiving TE. Mix them in with Tarren Lloyd (the rookie blocking TE) and I think we've got something to build on:
double TE as our base offense. |

Its all a clever trick.. No one thinks we are truly going to run a college-style offense.. but the trick is on them.. we have more college level talent than anyone else in the league!!

Only 4 pieces of the puzzle to finish? nice.
Bilal Powell looked good in 2nd string work, and McKnight MAY have had a game changing penalty on the first drive, but at least he kept the puke down.

Serious Question: Have you seen Lloyd play yet? I can't say that I have noticed him, not that I was looking either. I would be very curious to know if he has legit blocking skills.

Why should I give Wayne Hunter another chance? Like he hasn't had a million already? He stinks. He lacks the athleticism and footwork to keep good DEs from getting by him. I don't even see how that can be debated

His scouting report says that's his strength and he blocked for a top rushing school last season. I hope he gets serious minutes in preseason games 3 and 4. |

Mario Williams isn't as stupid as internet coaches who believe that what you saw in the first two preseason games are what you will see 3 weeks from now.

At this point, I'm more pissed that, with the knowledge that we wanted to build a ground-and-pound team, Rex/Tanny drafted a QB with the 5th overall pick in the draft.
On top of that, THEN in building the ground-and-pound team, compile a roster with no legitimate RB threats and a gaping hole on the O-line. |

So you think this teams issues are going to magically resolve themselves as soon as the calendar reads September 9th? This looks like the worst offense in pro football. It doesn't matter how good our defense is if they're going to be sucking wind by the 2nd quarter every game. This offense all-around blows. From the QB to the OL to the backfield to the receivers to the TE's. But yeah, we gotta keep the faith. Afterall, it's only preseason.
