Like the rest of the RBs and offensive players, Powell is nothing special. Yes, he can pass block, but he's a terribly mediocre runner and I've yet to see his supposed speed.

maybe true, but still, he's got an opportunity to pass mcknight on the depth chart and really challenge greene for carries. he wouldn't have that chance on most other teams.

I already like him, but Tanny's a through and through genius if he pulls this off. Keep the jets on the back pages, attention off of Rex and the D, sell tons of Tebow ****, and ultimately get MJD for a 5th rounder.

People want the FO to bring in vet talent and I would assume the WR coach who we now have and coached him in Oakland lobbied for him. I don't think it was a "huge" mistake.
