By the end of next season barring major injury, Deej will be in 6th place.

My all time favorite athlete, I doubt he'll be able to pass Hank by the time he hangs em up, but he's got as good a shot as any.

Even if he got no more hits this year, he only needs 171 a year for 3 years to pass Aaron. I think he can get that.

Agreed, I think he can too. However, I'm hedging against the fact that his average over his amazing career is somewhere around 190/season (I believe).

At his age, to expect him to get 171 three years from now is tough sledding.

Needs a little over 150 hits a season for 6 seasons to pass Rose. or 190 a season for 5 seasons to pass Rose. He'll come up short.

How fortunate we all are to witness this kid.

I still remember the 96 HR with Jeremy Maier. Who knew that THAT ROOKIE would become THIS LEGEND.

Makes me proud to be a Yankee fan.

PS..I am fine that he wears Jerry Kenny's number.

Sure it was a 10yo kid's hyperbole, but I swear on my life that this is the truth.

I was at my cousins place and we were all watching the game, and I called that home run when he stepped up to the plate. That night, I remember telling my cousin that he was gonna be the best player in the league.

My first sports memory. On my end, as someone who no longer cares for much baseball except the DJs and Mariano's, he hasn't dissapointed.
