http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/play...dennis-landolt OL Dennis Landolt Suffers Dislocated Patellar Tendon August 7th, 2012 Matt Loede Posted in Injury Report, News Jets offensive lineman Dennis Landolt reportedly suffered a dislocated patellar tendon in Tuesday’s practice according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. The injury will likely end Landolt’s season. Landolt was a longshot to make the Jets 53-man opening day roster . An undrafted free agent in 2010, Landolt was waived at final cuts in 2011 and has never played in a regular season game. l_j_r |

NICK OF TIME: Two days after saying he didn't expect his switch to fullback to be permanent, LB Nick Bellore showed up for practice wearing No. 48 in the white (offense) jersey. Uh, it might be temporarily permanent.
STEP BY STEP: The offense spent a lot of time in walk-through mode, with the quarterbacks and the receivers running through plays and routes. One of the areas they want to clean up is route running, making sure receivers hit their landmarks and find the right depth. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jet...medium=twitter |

I give Bellore credit. He is doing everything he can to be valuable to the team. FB/LB and STs. Buts its a shame that we need him to do all of that.

Dennis Waszak Jr. @DWAZ73
Shonn Greene has nine games in which he has gotten 19 or more carries. His average? 99.4 yards. |

Ok but I must state that I am not a fan of Sanchez particularly. I am a Jets fan. I just think the guy is a tough-minded guy and can handle NY and the media. I think he will develop into a fairly competent QB this year. I do not think he is really a franchise QB but I hope that I am wrong.

![]() A shame? Is it a shame that the Pats have Edelman playing several different roles on the team, offense and even defense? You do realize this is done all across the NFL? Bellore is a ST's player, that's his forte, not much of a LB, they may like his explosion and ability to hit people, and apparently think highly well enough to move him to FB, this will open a spot at LB, the Jets will have at least 4 ILB's on the team, as they did last year, but last year, Bellore was one of those players, this year, they'll have Harris, Scott, Davis, and Mauga. Bellore could find a role as a FB/ST's player. Maybe Connor is on the bubble? Maybe moving Bellore allows the Jets to keep Dowtin, who does have a lot of upside as an ILB because of his athleticism and speed. There is obviously a reason this move is being made, and any of the aforementioned scenarios is a possibility why. Players that are versatile that can provide perform in multiple roles allows a team to open roster spots for other areas on the team that they may want to carry more depth. |

If they weren't happy with Conner, Rex's "handpicked FB", we had an entire off season to find one. |

Edelman is a WR, plays on ST's, is a KR, and will be in on dime packages. I explained why the move is also being considered, the Jets have more talent and more depth at LB, Bellore may be on the bubble due to numbers, so they are probably trying to find another role for the player, because he's already a good ST's player. This is not neccessarily an indictment on Connor, I just suggested it as one of the possible scenarios. I don't think Connor is going anywhere. |
