It's not a real account.

It's fictional.

Well, it all happened, like, a long time ago, right? So who cares?

If the OP wants to know what happened, R&FotTR is the choice.

If he wants to be entertained by a riveting insightful story, I'd say R&FotTR is STILL the choice.

If he wants to read about people, there are plenty of real tales to be told.

If he wants fiction.....read something else IMO.

... lol, rise & fall was truly an epic read ... very exciting and very informatiive ...

... winds of war as well as war & rememberance were some of the most exciting "quality" fiction that i've read though ...

... it's like arguing over a big ol bowl of ice cream vs. a nice big piece of chocolate cake ... which is better? ... i don't really know, guess it just depends on my taste at that moment ... they are both f*cking awesome though ...

Just finished it yesterday.

Very very well written novel. I don't understand how someone can write so beautifully.

Only one guy made it out.

The first 3 pages are gut wrenching--no spoiler by any means--but he took it upon himself to visit personally with the families of every member of his SEAL team--all of them--that got killed.

Guy's an American hero.

I bet. I can't even imagine the courage it takes to voluntarily go on those types of missions. Combat in general has to be the most frightening experience possible.

The Pirates of Manhattan. Great read. Shows how much of a scam 401(k) really are.

Not sure how... It's a gradual investment account that you can reap the benefit of employer contributions on, tax free, which also lowers your current taxable income... If that's your lone retirement option, then that's your own fault...

By no means is it even close to being tax free. Your deferring the taxes to a later date and to a tax rate that you have no clue what it will be. Look up the average marginal tax rate in our country. Then You tell me a 401(k) is not the biggest scam ever. As far as it being someone's only option...... It really shouldn't be an option. Think about this to. Do you think taxes going up, down or stay the same?

401(k) and IRA's are a way for the government to control the majority of people's wealth. Why do you think that when the market tanked a few years back they halted RMD's for a year?
