Today's practice
No camp updates from Florham Park today? Didn't practice start at 8?

= DeGugliemo tied his job to Hunter’s performance in May, saying, “Until they ship him out of this building, or until they shoot me dead in my office, that son of a gun is going to be our starting right tackle, and he’s going to play well.” Those words already seem to be haunting DeGugliemo and the Jets, who have been defending and excusing Hunter’s poor play this preseason while struggling to come up with other solutions. Howard, who was signed to the Jets’ practice squad last November, said he thought he had made strides this preseason. He called Hunter an “amazing athlete,” but Howard said he was trying not to focus on taking Hunter’s job. “I’m just doing what I’m asked of and controlling what I can now, which is only the way I practice,” Howard said. “Anything else I can’t control.” On Tuesday, Ryan claimed ignorance of any insinuation that the team was shopping for a new right tackle |

Who is this guy? Did he work for Spano in Miami ? I have a feeling this guy is a liability - at least from what we've seen - if the line sucks into the season, this guy is probably a big reason why, I'm starting to wonder about Spano, always had problems with our QB coach, and now that Rex installed Powell as our third down back, this could be another situation comparable to Shotty, replacing a problem with a problem, Mc Knight will play a major role for some team next season, he's our kickoff guy, but should split carries with TEBo Graine, Gana, and the best burner available off waivers, at this point in his Jet career, Mc Knight should have 200 more carries than he does, most notably, the championship game in Pittsburg, he was a rested rookie with plenty of juice, Schotty gave him 0 carries, just like he gave Woodhead, another young back with extra rest, 0 carries against Indy the year before. RUNNING BACKS ARE GOOD TO GO THEIR ROOKIE YEAR ! GET IT RIGHT JETS !!!! |
