Include me in that category with McCariens. I also have a Favre and Cotchery.

I don't consider players like Santana Moss, Chad Pennington, Laveraneus Coles, etc. as busts. Coles had two different extended stints here, Moss was dealt and was exciting while here, and Pennington was Pennington.

I'd throw in Brett Favre, but I bought that jersey for $4, not $80, about three days after he signed - the small joys of working retail at the time.
$4 or $40 ?

McCariens is without question the worst one I've seen here so far. Ew.

Personally, I have the kiss of death with Jets jerseys

Santana Moss - traded within a couple months.

Jon Vilma - traded within a couple months.

Brett Favre - nuff said.

The last one I bought was a Mangold because I knew there was no way in hell that he's going anywhere for a long time.

Judging from this season? Cro, Landry... uhm...yeah. If you're optimistic Hill or Kerley. Anyway Revis and Mangold are always a safe option.

Gholston is FAR worse than McCareins

not IMO because at least with Gholston he was a 1st round pick and there was hope he would be great. If you bought a jersey just after the draft, there's an excuse.

There is no excuse for buying a McCariens jersey.

McCariens was the better player (not sayin much) but the worse jersey purchase... does that make sense?

I get your point, but buying jerseys of draft picks in itself is a poor choice IMHO.

SANCHEZ appears to be a poor purchase.

My worst and stupid purchases were a McCariens (81) and "haha", Justin Miller (22) simply because 22 is my favorite number and I had high hopes for the kid. Then I think he changed his number to 21.

Oh, let me add.......Buying an authentic Sanchez. Having my cousin meet him and sign it during his rookie year, then shelling out $400 to have it framed and lighted in glass. Stupid me.

My favorite is my Chrebet!

Glen Foley. But eventually tried converting it to a Brett Favre Jersey (only to misspell his name Farve)

None of those are very bad. All played at a high level for many years for the Jets.

Gholston and Doug Jolley are more what this thread is about.

Sopne picked up a Hill Jersey last month. The jury is still out. Still plenty of time to add it to the Foley/Abraham/Favre pile. The Snatchez is in the limbo pile too.

Well that was just dumb. You are too blame. It was obvious well in advance that he wasn't going to be around for much longer
