Depending on the size of the hive I usually just suck them up with a wet/dry vac. I have a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol on hand just in case. Rubbing alcohol will basically deter any household pest.

Just this spring I did 3 baseball sized hives in my shed. Had a slight opening near the roof where they got in from.

By the way, PK's method is the best. If any of the bees manage to fly out of the nest, they will be on fire. It's pretty twisted.

Is it just a hanging nest?

If it is, you can easily just use a foaming bee spray. You just literally spray the hole and let the foam build up. then spray the nest. I usually have to do this at the course several times a year. I'm so used to doing it that I do it in broad daylight now.

You should have posted it here so we could validate its authenticity.

Most fun...drink a ton of water then build a little sandbag fortification a few feet from teh nest and use your pen.s as an anti-aircraft gun.

Considered the Plumber Khan method - kerosene in the hole followed by a match.

Considered the Paulie method - hiring a professional, then wearing a winter parka and football helmet while watching from inside a locked car.

Considered the 32Green method - no real plan, then a trip to the hospital.

A skunk ripped up one, so there is a ten inch wide hole at top. They can all come out charging at once.

Frankly, my method is obviously the best. I hate bees and bee-related pestilence. Just the thought makes my skin crawl.
