Please just use Tebow for a few wildcat run/pass options and that's that. Sanchez is our guy!

Since the question posed was "do you want this guy starting", then I agree whole-heartedly with the majority.
But this idea of dumping the guy? Have you seen our short-yardage efficiency? IMO we put Tebow out on EVERY 3rd and short. Not as an indictment on Sanchez but our COMPLETE inability to get even the slightest push up front . . . |

He is not a QB. Much less a starting QB.
But he will be a good option on 3rd down and short. He's bigger and faster than any RB we have. And he's harder to bring down. He's elusive. Also punt protector with the threat of a fake punt every time. But in no way should he be a starting QB. |

I think Tebow can help in the wild cat but God forbid Sanchez gets hurt.. I don't think I could watch him for a full game. I would be so upset knowing he's quarterbacking my team.

Tebow in on 3rd & short all season long. We are getting destroyed on those, and it's got nothing to do with preseason. Tebow is a beast and will get that 1 yard.

This. Using him as a glorified FB without having to hand it off is fine by me. Let him get 1-2 yards on the ground all day, but never, ever let him pass. Well, maybe once in awhile a la Brad Smith.

Tebow is bad as a regular QB in this league, can produce if you put together a package and just let him run most of the time.
The fact that Tebow is not a good QB does not make Mark Sanchez any better of a QB. If you single out Tebow for his awful int and a near pick 6 then I assume you agree with the people who have blasted Sanchez for his bad passes and pick sixes? Somehow those are all on the oline, oc, wr's etc etc. though. |

He's the guy I want to run ~5 plays a game in the Wildcat for 50-60 yards rushing and a TD per game. |

For the 200th day in a row.
Why do so many people refuse to accept that the Jets brought in Tebow as a special situation QB (est. 10-15% of the snaps) - and that he might be able to help the team in that role? Our offense needs all the help it can get. A better question might be: do the Jets need a wildcat? But as long as its being implemented, Tebow can be an asset. |
