Seriously, I'm headed up with shakin jr. tonight to get ready for the Woodward Stakes on Sunday. Followed by an August Burns Red concert in Poughkeepsie (not looking forward to that one, but the contact buzz promises to be a silver lining). Gots plenty of time to kill on Friday and Saturday to head up 9N and knock on hotel doors.

Yeah, they're one of his favorite bands. He went to the Mayhem concert at SPAC (Saratoga) a few weeks ago -- outdoor daytime concert with like a dozen bands. Most of the bands were from his generation, but Slayer, Anthrax and Motorhead were thrown in there too. I dropped him off at the show and went across the street to play 18 holes at the Spa golf course. I could hear the show while golfing, it was pretty cool. I was tempted to scalp a late ticket and head in there for Motorhead -- my kid always goes to the mosh/circle pit and I was LOLing imagining him all of a sudden seeing me in there throwing the devil horns at Lemmy.
