At first I didn't take all that much. I cut back some, cut out soda entirely, junky snack foods for the most part. The first 30 pounds pretty much just fell off. That's when I started going to the gym, and I did that for a while, hit 220, and then hit a plateau. I decided to start doing P90X (for anyone that hasn't heard of it, it's an 3-month home workout and have lost the last 22 pounds in the month since I started that, in addition to a high-protein diet....and I've cut out alcohol for now.

What's your secret to not giving in to eating?

Again, congrats. That takes a hell of a lot of self discipline.
I had the giving in problem for a while. Now I do six small meals a day instead of three big ones and that helps tremendously.

I know, I know. This is grounds for banning, probably. If it makes you feel any better, my company party is next Monday, and I've decided I'm gonna "release the animal" there....

I was captivated until the last six words. Southside will likely be excited.

You don't look like you need to loose anymore and no, we don't need to see you with your shirt off.

I saw the P90X commercials a year or so back looked good.

I would imagine the next hardest thing to loosing so much weight is coming up with a lifestyle to keep the weight off.

the Ginger will get his animal reward at the company party

I weigh as much as you do now, but to be honest this is the heaviest I've ever been. I'm worried that if I cross the 200 lb. threshold then I'll never see south of 200 again. I would love to be at 185ish.

I suspect the booze is a major problem. But the thought of giving it up is more than daunting. I'd rather be a lousy vegetarian.

Good for you man.

The full powershot: can you take one better now than before?

Congrats on the tremendous effort. I've cut out soda and 5 lbs came off in about a week...will be happy with another 10....esp if the neck fat goes first...bothers me more than the gut fat.

P90 not on the agenda just yet.

Congratulations...not an easy task. Managing your weight at an earlier age will help prevent all sorts of health problems including comparisons to Rex Ryan.

I hope this doesn't mean you're going to be eliminating some of your drunk posting. You definitely had some good ones, lol.

Congrats man, that really is awesome.

Just like BHR said, I've crossed over into 200+ territory and its the heaviest I have every been - to which you're probably thinking 'GFY'. I'm at a 34 waist now, and if Im not careful - once I buy anything in a size 36 waist Im friggin done.

Gotta do something now or else. I tried jogging earlier this year...well, we all know how that turned out. :shakes_crutch:

Likely more interesting than last years company party when an overweight Ginja Ninja tired quickly after deciding to "releasetheanimal".

Congrats on the weight loss.

I heard somewhere that sitting in front of your computer posting nonsense to web forums can create something called "secretary spread." Is there anyone here who can take dictation?
