Looks like a decent view out your kitchen window ... sh*t you can almost see Paris; ahem ... g'Ham's fond words of our French brethren still makes me smile.

Fresh Wet Hops
Wet Hops Bit*hez ! ! !"
Brooklyn Home Brew Store are doing a custom order of Fresh Hops and will be delivering to their store tonight at 5pm for immediate pick up. The Fresh Hops are only good for 24 hours so you would need some time available tonight or all day tomorrow to brew. I am taking the day off tomorrow to brew ... I have my yeast starter going over the weekend so I will be bubbling and brewing all day tomorrow. I am doing two consecutive brews from 6am to 10pm. |

You want to start with an extract recipe kit to start, you don't have to deal with so much grain so the process is a few hours shorter. One of the most consistent brands in the prepacked recipe kits is Brewers Best. They are distributed through Whole Foods beer stores and sold online with amazon and some home brew stores. One of the worst brands in beginners kits, I have found is Cooper's an Aussie brand. Here is an example of a receipe kit. http://www.amazon.com/Brewers-Best-A...s=brewers+best You will still need to buy a beginners equipment kit (about $190) Online two of the biggest suppliers are Northern Brewer and MoreBeer, both make great kits. So the bottom line is buy a basic brew equipment kit and then buy and extract recipe kit. It takes about five hours so it's important to have beer at hand to help you focus ...

Buy a recipe kit from one of the big online suppliers. Northern Brewer, Midwest, or Austin Homebrew. They sell a lot of malt extract, so you know the extract in the kit that you buy from them is going to be fresh. |
