Mike Westhoff

I have to say that Mike Westhoff gives the most entertaining and insightful press conferences around. It's been a pleasure watching him coach with the Jets. With this being his last year in the league I'd like to thank him for his contributions. It's truly been a pleasure and he will most certainly be missed by this fan.

+2 I think we'll miss him more than we think. I guess it depends what the special teams looks like next year.

This will not be his last year. He will come back. He is a football lifer. He can fish in the off season.

Love the guy but my one pet peeve over the last few years is the damn punters.
Every team seems to be able to find a consistent punter but us!
Well we had Wetherford & he goes to the Giants & literally wins the 49ers game with his punting. Oh well.

I think he actually addressed that yesterday. He talked about how there are punters that you really love that come along, but that you can't always afford to take a guy in the 3rd round or spend the money on a free agent.

A telling line (paraphrase): "Sometimes you just get told to make it work. Actually that happens a lot."

He could coach ME to lead the league in kickoff returns.

Love him. Full blown homo.

Great coach overall, great at kick coverage and kick returns. Actually handling of punters and kickers much less so though this part might hang on our front office.
