It appeared he was day dreaming and I believe his producer was talking in his head piece and THAT is what startled him.

I dont like Fatso but this clip is a stretch IMO.

Oh no, watch the whole clip. He was definitely nodding off (literally, look at his head). Then he looks confused for a while, asks the producer something, then comes back and says "We're talking to Sweeny Murti, obviously." And that's the giveaway, to me. He wasn't sure when he first came to.

Oh, he was definitely fading all the way out. Hearing his name, "Michael" is what wakes him up and from there he's imploring the producers as to what he's missed. Just a funny moment. Something he probably could get away with in the radio only days, but now with a camera in the booth...
