Sitting in a room of about 300 people, and I'm the only one dressed in a suit and tie. I didn't know the dress code was "Wednesday afternoon at the DMV."

So far not a looker in the bunch.

Most people brought laptops to "work." I have my iPhone and a book about auto design in the past 50 years.

Some jerk is talking on a loudspeaker right now.

I'm due for jury duty this year. But I usually ignore the notices until the purple one comes. That the one that says you can be arrested if you don't answer.

The obvious request would be to find some talent and share.

This old guy keeps droning on and on about the most basic aspects of courtroom behavior that any dope would know after watching My Cousin Vinny or the last 15 mins of Law & Order.

Good Thai food right there on Main Street. I went there for my jury duty last year.

i was up for jury duty several years ago. Kept calling in each day and my number kept getting closer and closer. I did the math and it looked like I was definitely going to be called on Friday. Called in Friday morning and they missed me by about 20.

It felt good to do my civic duty.

As soon as lawyers find out my occupation is software engineer, I get excused. I'm highly insulted.
