I heard that song late one night on K-Rock back in 2005 heading home from a date--was probably 1 am and I had a GREAT night Top down on the roadster (it was freezing, but I didn't give a crap--had the heater cranking--and that song came on and I think I was doing about a hunert by the time it was over.

But the DJ--Danni--didn't say what the song was or who the artist was. So I e-mailed her the next morning--asked her if they kept track of the playlist and what the song was, told her it was just after Bob Marley's "Jammin" and just before Crosby Stills Nash and Young's "Carry On", and she e-mailed me back that it was Slither by Velvet Revolver.

Years ago, when Maddog was still there, I won opening day tix to the Yankees.

It was the day before the game so I had to go pick the tickets up at their old building in Astoria. The studio was in the basement.

I got the tickets and was leaving about 5 minutes before the Mike & the Maddog show was supposed to start. As I walked out to go back up the elevator, the doors open and there is Francesa, holding a diet coke and panting like he had just run the NYC marathon.

I was so tempted to say, "A bit winded from the elevator ride? Hitting that down button must be exhausting."
