He could have also come in when you had your door open. Bringing in groceries or something like that. They can fly right in without you even noticing. And the fact that he is asleep during the daytime is a good thing. Means he might not have rabies. |

You haven't seen bats until you see the bats that live under a bridge in downtown Austin--the world's large urban bat colony.
1.5 million bats live there every year from March to October! They all fly out every night! It's a huge attraction. So, if you want to see bats, come on down! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have heard of the Austin bridge. Up in wino country, we have a bat colony in the eaves; sometimes one gets into the hall closet. Two weeks ago, in 90 degree heat, I'm hearing his heaving and groaning sound as I make a sandwich. I ask the MIL "wtf" and she tells me it's too hot for the bats in their colony, and they're MOVING AROUND.
Yes, just like my stomach was at the time.

This thread is full of LOLs
And I echo Raoul's first statement -- when is Timmy going to finally conclude that he's just not cut out for country living? Come on man, 20 years ago did you ever think in your life you'd say, "I hope there isn't a colony of bats living under the roof of my cabin"? Give it up already. You're like Chevy Chase in that movie where he unwittingly eats sheep testiglez. |
