Have you even seen this years Pats defense yet? Not elite, but a far cry from 'in shambles'. You pull that outta your ass?

This "article" is written by some WFAN genius named Jeff Cappelini who is strictly following the official written directive from PD Mark Chernoff issued when the Jets left FAN for ESPN requiring ALL station personnel to BASH the Jets whenever possible

Talk about dead on.

Everytime the Jets need that defense to create a turnover or force a 3-and-out, they crap the bed.

Jets have the most over rated defense in the NFL.

Total yardage means absolutely nothing in the NFL.

I agree with 80% of this article. Points allowed is THE most important stat.

In this particular case, past performance is indicative of future results.

Sorry CPA.

BTW, nice to see you put down the kool aid glass from a few years ago.

Lets be honest, the Jets lack the pass rush and speed at LB to be considered elite. They are not elite. They can be an above average defense, but not elite.

Soooooo what does that say about the pats defense???

cuz pretty sure NO coach or gm would EVEN THINK about replacing the Jets D with the pats

At the same time how many 3rd and longs have you seen converted against this defense.

It really is obsurd.

Agreed. It's a good thing that this wake up call came early in the season. The team to a man has to individually look at ways to improve and contribute to a winning performance and a more dominant D.

A young, athletic, fast defense with 3 rookie starters, versus an old, slow defense that can't make a play in crunch time with the game on the line?

Yea, I'm sure all the GM's and HC's would prefer the Jets defense.

Keep telling yourself the Jets defense is elite.

Yet....we thought we upgraded the pass rush. So back to our DRAFT....if our pass rush is weak, our draft is weak.

We can't tackle, can't cover a TE and our RB offense is inconsistent.

Last year we gave up a shlt load of points.

Lets not get crazy, the Jets defense might not be elite, but they are much better than the Pats defense. Coming off a loss to the Cardinals at home is not exactly the time to be bragging about the Pats.

Not going crazy at all.

Pats lost that game because of the offense, not the defense.

Two games in a row, the defense played great.

Time will tell.
