The difference is that if the vet is on the team for week one, his salary is guaranteed so if he gets hurt or cut, you have to pay him for the year. After week one, you can pay him for the weeks that he plays and cut him without having to pay him for the year.

the raiders are very thin at cb. what about offering wilson and a draft pick for mcfadden? he hasnt exactly fit into the system in oakland.

Get off of it with this guy already. He's still recovering from a major knee injury and even when healthy isn't that good. We need a homerun hitter with SPEED, not a guy who'd run for two yards a clip. We have a guy like that already, remember?
