You can walk off the field after an ACL tear, you just can't pivot or move laterally. Most likely the Jets already know whether it is torn or not, they are just waiting for the MRI to be done tomorrow to buy some time for the dust to settle. I am fearing the worst right now based upon what I saw.
This.

If it is an ACL, best case scenario is that it's not a particularly bad tear.

That POS Incognito speared Revis after he was already on the ground. Don't want to wish bad things on sh!tty people, but....

Even if it's just a partial tear that does not require surgery, that's likely 3 months of rehab and a higher risk of re-injury.

A torn ACL is a torn ACL. Can you have a partial tear and rehab? Yes, but that would be unusual for a professional athlete...it would still in all likelihood have a degree of unacceptable instability esp for a NFL CB.

I guess we'll see...

One of the worst injuries that could have happened, if true.

It's like with the Knicks last year, but worse. It was rough seeing Shumpert tear his ACL but at least that basically happened at the end of the season. 3 games in and this happens..

Best case scenario, he is out until after the bye week.

As a Knick fan, it reminded me when Shumpert tore his ACL. Like some other posters have said, non-contact knee injuries usually dont have a happy ending....

Jason La Canfora says the Jets "fear" that he tore his ACL, but they won't know more until they do an MRI. https://twitter.com/JasonLaCanfora/s...80082746171392

I guess that's not really news at all

Agreed.

But we could hope it's only a hyper-extension...

Anyone know if it is a hyper-extension how long that will be?

Postgame vibe on Darrelle Revis from the Jets’ locker room was not good. Fellow DBs sounded like it could be a multi-week injury

I'll take the multiple week injury

If it is an ACL trust me they know already based on his exam.

I bet knowing the Jets luck, it's an injury that knocks him out for almost the entire season and when he comes back, the Jets would be out of the playoff hunt.

SNY had that hottie Jeane Coakley running all over the place, couldn't she at least get a sense of what's going on?
