Again, Green Day is the most blatant, corporate, plastic non-punk "punk" that has ever existed. Literally everything about them screams manufactured and fake, including his "I'm like, so Pete Townsend-like" rant and guitar breakage.

Tis a shame, because Armstrong does have soem songwriting skills/chops, but the whole corporate-created marketing "angst punk for upper-middle-class white kids" image is deeply off putting.
