If thats a sorry ass coach, Ill sign up for it in a heartbeat. As for Mangini, did you notice how much better the drafts were when he was around vs when Rex too over. Same GM, different draft results. Thats not a coincidence. Mangini had 1 super draft and 2 very solid drafts. Gholston was his only major miss and he was picked where most "experts" thought he would be picked |

He left because he wasn't given total control of football operations after three years as was promised when Parcells was originally signed. Parcells decided to stay on the throne a little while longer. Woody Johnson also tried to convince him to stay on as head coach even longer, which is one of the reasons Belichick still despises Johnson and the Jets.

For whatevere shortcomings the man may have, i am forever grateful to Parcells. That being said, i dont want him making decisions for this team. |

John Gruden.
If not, take Jerry Reese's assistant. That front office produces a stream of sick GM's, from Young to Accorsi to now Reese. Guys who draft Osi Umenyiora and you wonder wth they were thinking on draft night............ I like Jay Gruden as a head coach. But John Gruden if he'll take the over the whole operation. NOT COWHER. |

15 years pre Parcells we were 95-136-1 (.409) with only 4 winning seasons.
15 yrs since Parcells we are 140-114 (.551) with 10 winning seasons. No comparison. Thank you Mr. Parcells |

I'd offer Jimmy Johnson a lucrative job as a draft consultant. NY is too cold for him, he is done with coaching but he could be a part-time GM/talent scout and maybe stop us from drafting the Ducasses and Kyle Wilsons. He could do the job sitting in his mansion in Florida.
Cowher is not coming here. Neither is Polian. |

Wiould love Gruden or Cower but No established coach is coming anywhere near the Jets without a legit QB on its roster...say hello to the next Coslet, Carroll, Herm, MAngini, Rex.

What about Mitt Romney as GM?
Things don't seem to be going to well for him in the polls, and come November he might be looking to return to the private sector. He has the kind of management experience that our organization sorely needs, he's a close personal pal of Woody, and he has deep, deep sports experience having turned around the Olympic games. Just sayin.... |

Not true at all the team he started to built was dismantled. Irland was hired in 09 and by 2010, BP was not making any calls. He was just getting paid to do nothing. He had 3 good drafts in Miami and brought in some good talent. The fact they didn't build around it in 10, 11, or 12 is just a joke. They set themselves up for failure last year and that wasn't a horrid team. When he left they had a good D, and good OL, a great ST, and a nice run game. He actually turned them into a PO team before handing it over.

Rex went to the AFC Championship two years in a row with Mangini's players. He has got rid of most of them and now we see the true Rex. He's just not a good head coach or talent evaluator.

The first thing Parcells did when he came to the Dolphins was hire Ireland as the GM. Parcells was the Head of Football Operations. After Ireland, he hired Sparano to be the head coach. Those are Parcells' guys. They continued to run the team according to his vision. |
