What do you expect tonight?

I am curious to read what are the expectations here for this debate tonight. I expect a lot of bull**** from both sides and very little in the way of substantive discussion. I would be surprised if there were any major mistakes made by these candidates as both are fairly good at remaining calm and have a lot of experience in this format. This debate is the most important for public perception in my view as it will be the most watched of the three. By the time the third one rolls around it will be overkill.

And no matter what happens tonight you can rest assured that MSNBC and Fox News will shill for their candidate. As for me, I will be watching Erin Burnett as much as possible....

Sometimes she is hot and then she makes those awkward faces. I think she was better during her CNBC years.

As for the debate, I expect nothing. To quote Sparano, the candidates will be "vanilla".

I think the VP debate will be worth watching. Might get a few sparks in that one.

This is like the Jets vs. the Niners all over again.

I think Obama has lingering brain damage from Jay-Z's weed.

By the way, Romney has owned Lehrer harder than he's owned Obama...

Owning Obama is not racist, by the way...

Because I'm sure you were thinking I intended it that way...

It's okay... I don't blame you...

You're having a rough night...

Romney has come out more aggressive. He also seems to be better prepared.

First debate is generally strong for the challenger.

The economy is Obama's weak spot.

Mitt is doing exactly what he should. I loved the line about having 4 years of evidence.

What I expect:

Alot of Spin Tomorrow.

Left from the Mainstream Media

Right from Talk Radio/FOX

Same as every other day.

I know. But what do you expect him to do? He would get crucified for showing any bias so he just lets both of them walk all over him.

BTW, I think Obama just had his best moment asking why Romney hasn't been specific.

I think Romney looks much more composed and confident. Obama does seem a bit unprepared.

I agree but to this point Romney's handlers have simply done a better job then Obama's.

Obama has simply not scored enough hits when Romney has left himself open except for the part about him not being specific.
