Sparano was a lateral move. I don't see why Rex co-signed that signing. He must have known Sparano was awful.

We went from the worst OC to the second worst OC. Our skilled positions have to be the weakest in the NFL. Our QB implodes once he is touched. Our HC does not believe in offense.
THAT is a recipe for what we have. |

The issue this season with the Jets offense is the personnel, not the playcalling. Schotty had good to excellent personnel to work with from 2008 to 2011 and underachieved. That said Sparano hasn't exactly distinguished himself this season either.

You cant really judge Sparano at all until we actually play with our full compliment of players.

There's a theory among some Jets fans that QBs' passer ratings improve without Schotty.
So far it's not holding true: Sanchez's is down in 2012 vs 2011. Bradford's is up in 2012 vs 2011. |

you might also have a head coach who is taking a more active control in O and not letting the O-coach have complete control?

schitty was absolutely horrible as an offensive coach. he play calling was disjointed and he didn't seem to be able to get the team moving in the same direction. obviously the jury is still out on sanchez and sparano but what i've seen so far is an offense that is willing to throw deep and not getting mired in back to back to back to back 3 and outs. this in spite of a back who hesitates when hitting the hole, an oline that isn't performing up to par, a qb who is up and down, and not having a really good receiver set.

The incompetence transcends Sanchez and had its prequel with Pennington, Clemens, Favre.
Favre had the pedigree to ignore Schottenheimer. Pennington's frequent injuries prevented him from challenging him. Bradford's 7-21 performance may be about to get worse with WR Amendola out for awhile. Let's see what happens now. |

Lets get real, ****tenhiemer sucked. I blame the Jets Front Office for giving him and everyone else crap to work with on the Offense. While Rex prob influenced most of the Jets defensive picks, the Jets will never get blue chip coaches or players with their existing front office, GM structure and ownership philosophy on do we want to be in the footbal business or the entertainment business. Nothing has really changed from Bradway down to the player evaluators and scouts, including Bradway. Tann and Bradway have to be held accountable for their poor player evaluation and drafting decisions. A real football coach like a Coughlin or a Cowher will never sign on to play for an owner who thinks Tebow was a good *football* decision, or that resigning Holmes made sense because it was a good deal. All of this falls on Woody Johnson.
