The article and statistics fail to point out we've faced some of the best defenses in the league so far in Miami (#1 rush defense), SF (#3 total yards, #4 points allowed), and Pitt (#5 total yards, #8 in points. #2 against the pass). FYI, Houston is #1 scoring and total yards allowed, and #2 pass defense

I think there is too much over analysis. Either players are performing week in and week out or they are not and if they are not let's cut the dead weight, free up some cap room and get players who are hungry for a ring.

But what kind of an excuse is facing top defenses. Every year, you have to face some top defenses. If you can only perform against low ranked defenses, something is wrong in mho.
