-Tipped passes because he stares down his receivers. For those that disagree they went over it last night on the Jets post game. Sanchez literally stares at his primary from the snap until the throw on the majority of his throws. This was very easy to see, so expect alot more D lineman to drop back and read his short passes ala Lamar Woodley in the AFC championship a few years ago. Notice this happens to Sanchez more then other QB's? Wonder why? -Balls off his receivers hands. This is going to happen often when your throwing behind, or over the head of your receiver like the Cumberland throw last night. Notice this happens to Sanchez more then other QB's? Wonder why? -Cromartie missed TD---Shocker. Sanchez threw another inaccurate pass that could have been a great play. Cromartie had his guy beat by 5 yards. This is not a NFL starting QB. -Kerley Rocked---One last point. Sanchez never throws his receivers open. Rarely leads his players in stride. Kerley had to sit there and wait for that ball and get rocked. If he throws that ball sooner and harder Kerley has the opportunity to cut it in. To the Sanchez apologist out there: We have a dead man walking out there. Its the last few games this guy will be a starting QB in the league. Enjoy them. |

The latter will make these mistakes too...but not nearly with the week-in/week-out frequency that we see from Sanchez. And just to emphasize your best point - Sanchez never throws his receivers open. Ever. |

Maybe he didn't have him beat by 5 yards, but there's no denying that:
A) Cromartie had his guy beat B) A better pass (if caught) leads to a TD This was discussed ad nauseum during the postgame show as a huge missed opportunity by knowledgeable guys who played the game. Between that and your own two eyes, how can you absolve Sanchez of the blame on that throw? That's 7 points left on the field from an easy pitch and catch. And it's not fair to nitpick every pass a QB throws, but add that to the blatant misses of wide open targets like Holmes in the Pitt game and Schilens in the Dolphins game - that's 21 points in uncontested layups that Sanchez has missed on his own. That has nothing to do with the quality of receiver or familiarity with the offense. Bottom line, this QB can't be counted on to make an accurate throw with a direct line of sight to an open receiver. That's a problem. Not the only problem, but a problem. |

The last play of the Houston game was the receiver's fault and a tremendous play by JJ Watt. I agree 12/31 is not going to cut it unless the defense plays lights out.

Are you kidding me?
Rex even said in his presser that was a throw that Sanchez would've liked to have back. Is there ever a moment where you aren't on your knees defending this team? At this point, the absolute best that you can hope to get out of Sanchez is maybe Alex Smith. A mediocre QB who can have success with an elite roster around him, and even the Niners are grooming Kaepernik to eventually take over. It's pretty damn clear that Sanchez is never going to develop into a Top 10 or Top 15 QB. |

IS Sanchez responsible for launching passes into line mens hands and helmets 4-5x a game?
Just curious, because that REALLY angers me. Who should we blame that on? |

Why is everybody so afraid of letting players we drafted go just so that the Patriots don't sign them? There's 30 other teams in the NFL, fyi. Besides, the Jets roster needs to be shaken up.

Yeah. Yeah.
Sanchez is NOT the problem BUT he certainly PART of it. Let's see. Fumbling while scrambling, particularly during crucial moments of the game, because in his fourth year he still does not know how to take care of the ball. He's never done that before right. Must be the RBs fault. ![]() Throwing high/inaccurate passes which get picked. He never does that but when he does it must be the WRs fault. ![]() Makes bad decisions and forces bad throws which lead to turnovers and constant incompletions. Must be the coaches fault. ![]() Sulking like a b!tch when things go bad despite being a team leader. Lets blame the cheerleaders for that one. ![]() Scrambling into sacks because of a lack of pocket awareness. Yeah I know he never does that. We'll blame the oline though when it does. ![]() Throwing the ball low near the LOS and having it swatted and often intercepted. Never happens right. I think we'll blame the TEs when that happens. ![]() So far it's everyone's fault but the qb. We'll blame the QB when things go right though. I mean he did win four road playoff games all on his own despite a stout d and run game. Damn, how could I be so blind. Sanchez is not the only problem with the team but currently he is one of them and he plays the most important position. Most people can succeed when everything goes right and there is no adversity. Yeah, that's classic. Deflect blame by trying to make the accusation unreasonable by turning the accusation into something it is not. No one has blamed Sanchez as the singular reason for the jets' issues. It has been pointed out though that sanchez is part of the problem and being the qb amplifies the spotlight of course. No one has said the jets have great coaching, wrs, rb, oline, D, and that sanchez is the only problem.
