Coples showed up today

4 tackles 2 sacks...yeah folks around here need to relax when comparing him to Jones and Bruce. Hope Rex shows some more confidence in him.

Coples looked good, I still think he can be something special with some more time.

On another note, I was a little disappointed that Damon Harrison didn't get more PT over Muir, who we signed like 3 days ago, but I can't complain too much.

Coples had 2 sacks?

I thought he only had one toward the end when the game was a wrap and the previous "sack" was taken away due to the facemask.....

Must've missed that other one that counted....

He doesnt get credit for a sack on the intentional grounding right?

No. He got credit on the facemask because it was a personal foul which is considered after the play. Only if a QB is in the grasp of a defender does intentional grpunding constitute a sack.

Not from what I heard from watching Jets Postgame Live.

They said that the Sack didn't count because of Intentional Grounding.

That looks like a winning combination out there. Hope they go with that alignment and personnel more, cause it really strains the OL.

Was hoping to see more of Damon Harrison, that dude is beastly.

Devito needs to be phased out when Ellis/Pouha get healthy.

He's a solid player against the run, but completely one dimensional and shouldn't be taking valuable playing time away from a guy who could be special like Coples. Not to mention he's a FA after this season and there's no way we're bringing him back when he can probably get a bigger contract and possibly a starting job on another team.

Not sure i follow that logic. A face mask is not after the play - its during the play. If it was after the play, it would be 15 yards from where he was sacked. Pretty sure that didnt happen.

Devito has been our most consistent run defender. The guy is as solid as solid can be.

If anything, Coples should be taking playing time from Wilkerson. Has anyone even seen the guy this season?

Where are all of the Jets homers that said Wilkerson would have 8 sacks this season? The guy has been a total disappointment and deserves to have playing time taken away from him.

Couldnt care less, he got lots of penetration for us today and looked much better on the inside as noted above...Rex needs to put us more in that package next week...

Didnt he force a fumble today? Could have sworn there were a couple of tackles for loss?
