JETS Defense Improving

Defense has not allowed a TD in last six quarters vs some big play QBs.Any thoughts?

It's all Sanchez's fault...oh, sorry wrong thread.

More seriously, I think the team might actually be getting new leadership in the locker room. Cro being one of them.

Cro will never be a leader, and if he is, the team is in trouble. He has been great on the field, other than not wrapping up when tackling.

Except for the fact he is emerging as a leader, has stepped bigtime on the field with his play and leadership, and his tackling and physical play has been much improved under Ryan.

That is 3 strikes in one post, you're out !

You're only right regarding the tackles. Anything else, what Ray_Ray19 says.

Defense generally gives the offense ample opportunity and time to score more points then the opponent that is their job we have never been blown out here.

So how is he a leader? Please explain. He has stepped up on the field with his play, but that doesn't make you a leader.

Why throw the ball when you don't have to?

All teams have to do is run the ball against the 31st ranked rushing defense in the NFL.

Unfortunately that is obvious and more than anything has contributed to their loses. When you can't stop the run and not run the ball you usually lose in the NFL.

Yeah the jets are terrible, but why do the second place pats suck so bad?

Pass rush is still lacking. Brady will pick us apart on Sunday. Sanchez does still suck and will give the Patriots great field position.

Everyone will get a chance to see just how bad each team is on Defense/Offense next Sunday.

I personally don't think the score is going to be close.

But what do I know

Then why bother bringing up the jets 28th currently ranked run D? Insecurity? I thought you said the pats were going 13-3 this year?

I truly hope the Pats try to run all day with Ridley.

Because the thread topic is about defense.

You're the one that brought up the standings.

And BTW, Jets run defense is ranked 31st, and not 28th:

Jets D will finish 2012 in the top half of the NFL in both Total Defense (Yards) and Defense (Points Allowed).

I still believe that.

That's because you're looking at total yards and not yards/game, genius. But by all means continue peddling your agenda

I disagree this game will be won between the tackles, NE running game is all runs between the tackles we need the big guys to really step it up.. NE has zero deep threat we keep everything in front of us let Landry and Bell pound on the Gronk and Hernandez...I have a good feeling on this one.
