I will say that Girardi's bizarre handling of the line-up was damning. Chavez over A-Rod is indefensible. I don't care how bad he has been, Chavez has been worse.

That’s that. It was a good run with a flawed team. I thought the Tigers were better to begin with but still thought the Yankees had a chance. This ALCS performance was painful to witness, but the pitching for the most part gave them a shot. Too many swings and misses, too many men left on base, which plagued them all season long.

Time to let the Yankee haters have their moment. Move on to fixing this team for hopefully a better result next season.

When the dust finally settles I can't really gripe too much about a team I root for playing to get into the World Series, just wish they had more life in them then they showed here.

Losing Jeter was tough to watch too.

I get that, but it will still be on his shoulders. No one in the front office will step up to say they influenced his lineup.
