Haha, I play out every now and then. Not usually electric though. I'm usually playing my Taylor and leading a band (improv) that way when I play out.

I must say though, the guys playing these amps aren't very good and they are most definitely playing Strats which I don't. I play a Gibson and that tone mixed with the Fender tones usually. Honestly, I think Derek Trucks stole my tone!

Sounds fun; an Unplugged type of affair? My wife wants me to dump all the cords and just play acoustic.

"What happens if James Hetfield calls, and all I have is this piece of woods?"

"If James calls you're not getting the phone...trol lol lol"

foiled again

Chicks dig acoustics. Dudes dig hard rock.

I live by that credo.

Get out of here drummer boy. No one wants to jam with you dropping time like it's going out of style.

Are you in Atlanta itself? Out here the remnants/relics of the Sixties scene remain vibrant - Santana is around Tower of Power...How's the scene down there where the allmans (kind of) stayed?

In ATL. Although I do have to get out west again. Might not come back home afterwards.

My wife hates shredding; but she likes the dropped D - Outshined; Jailbreak etc.

She's toured as a backup singer in Europe long ago.

She has a good ear, that's why!

I've thought about whether I'd end up with a fellow musician eventually. Not sure because I'd hate for the broad to be trying to take my guitar all the damn time! I'm selfish like that.

I felt like the Odd Man Out on LI; no one in my family thought practicing music was worthy of a moments attention. 30 years later, one son is in the business of music and the other played cello in the 6-8 grade orchestra. Little ****er can read the Bach Cello Suites!

Take your guitar? That's a woman that needs a good cuffing!

Actually both hahaha. Well my "newborn" is now 4 years old. All kidding aside the Traynor I have can get amazingly low volume without losing much tone. And it has a headphone jack/speaker kill switch. While I do admittedly have consideration for my wife and child, my eardrums get none.

5 watter? Jeff Beck loves those things; he dumped his stacks and runs the 5 watter cranked through the audio board.

Mine is 14 and just started high school. What!!??

I have medium level tinnitus from all the bass playing/basement practice/gigs through this 100 watt monster back in the 70s. It's long gone, but the buzzing lingers.

It's lovely when your head hits the pillow and THEN you actually start hearing it when you're trying to sleep.

You guys got some big amps. I have a 15 watter, sometimes I'll turn my guitar volume way up because that's the only way my tuner will pick up the hioh pitched e string. Then I plug back in the amp forgetting the volumes all the way up on my guitar. House shakes. I can only imagine doing that on the Bassman.
