Crazy...... All the support is great but end of the day are children without a Dad. I lost my Dad young.... I wish that on no one. It still affects me .

Just an aside, in this photo, I am standing on the lawn in front of the little white house in the lower left...with the group of light blue shirts in a sea of dark blue...right in front of me.






The light blue shirts were Nassau County Explorers...teens affiliated with the PD in a sort of scouting/community service type deal.

ANyhoo...at these things we stand at attention for an inordinate amount of time. You learn early on not to lock your knees or your blood pressure will plummet.

Apparently nobody told these poor kids, and within 45 minutes 4 of them fainted in quick succession and were layed out flat in front of me.

Broke my heart to see these poor well meaning kids like that.

Gun violence is something I've never been around and pray to never be near.
It's just mind boggling to think that one idiot pulls his finger, a precious life is lost and so many others are devastated.

I was honest with them and told them that. Because of that they made me do a field sobriety test. I obviously passed, but it still was one of the most nerve racking experiences of my life.

There was prolly at least 100 different agencies and many in attendance were off duty, leaving plenty of coverage.
