LOL. Not two minutes ago, I told my wife that we only have a few bottles of wine left. After that, it's beer or I'm heading out in gale force winds. Priorities, folks.

I have a 50 ft oak literally hanging over our house. it's on the side of a mountain so it has a head start. a tree guy told me it wasn't going anywhere, but this is supposed to be a once in a lifetime situation.

first time i've ever been nervous about a storm.

On the street behind my house there is an old pine tree. Has to be about 50 ft and this is in the suburbs. And next to it are two relatively small house. Scary stuff.

Biggest mistake is, way back when, all these towns didn't run their utilities underground.

I wouldn't be terribly afraid of a pine tree, but good luck to them

I dunno....I'm looking at the Radar and I think LI (except the direct coast line from the surge) will be in the clear soon. The storm seems to have fallen apart on its eastern side.

You will be OK. Try not to think about it. The stress from thinking about the Hurricane is worse than the actual Hurricane.
