Disney Buys Lucasfilm, Announces "Star Wars: Episode 7" Film for 2015.
Disney buying 'Star Wars' maker Lucasfilm for $4.05B
Published October 30, 2012 Associated Press LOS ANGELES – Disney is paying $4.05 billion to buy Lucasfilm Ltd., the production company behind "Star Wars," from its chairman and founder, George Lucas. It's also making a seventh movie in the "Star Wars" series. The Walt Disney Co. announced the agreement to make the purchase in cash and stock Tuesday. Disney added that "Star Wars Episode 7" is scheduled for release in 2015. The deal brings Lucasfilm under the Disney banner with other brands including Pixar, Marvel, ESPN and ABC. Kathleen Kennedy, the current co-chairman of Lucasfilm, will become its president and report to Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn. Lucas will be creative consultant on new "Star Wars" films. Lucas said in a statement, "It's now time for me to pass `Star Wars' on to a new generation of filmmakers." Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...#ixzz2Aoin6Zj5 |

At first i was like
![]() Then I was like ![]() Now I'm like ![]() I'd love to have 10 minutes in a closed room with George Lucas just to rip him to shreds. I always thought they should've made a movie of Shadows of the Empire. The book was cool, the N64 game was pretty cool, and Dash Rendar was badass. And yes, I'll be anxiously awaiting Episode 7. |

Good move IMO. George is an old has-been.
The next movie will be better than 1,2 and 3. Sent from my Double-Wide using Semaphore... |

it got progressively worse with every second of Shia Ledouche upstaging Indy at his own game. it hit full-blown disaster proportions the minute Marion showed up and they tried to play the whole "dysfunctional family" angle. epic pfailure

But as for the rest : I think they(Disney) can keep things going a bit with Luke(Hamill) and Han(H.Ford) with a sort of what-happened-later after Episode 6. Of course, to compensate for how old they are, they'll make it so that a good 10-15 years have passed or something like that.... Also during that time, the story could begin to introduce some new characters that would become more of the focal point going into episodes 8 and 9.....and so forth. Just my two cents.... |

Should be interesting;
guess an old Luke could rebuild the Jedi, who else survived? could create another new Alderaan with reference to Earth? or attack the sith empire Star Trek already went back in time and changed the past |
