Considering all thats happening to our JETS brothers in the NE.. I hesitated to post this. But thought it might help a few. Got invited by a golf pro who gave Alex lessons.... terrific fun. Went to sound check, Meet and Greet, drinks before the show with Alex and Geddy (no photos allowed for most of this. Im the geek fan in the custom RUSH shirt. Rush is very cool. Never met a chick that gets it but they always know Tom Sawyer and maybe another. But play some Bytor and Snow Dog and she's clueless, bored and looking for the door. I always have the excuse ready for em. " You won't get this unless your a drummer."

I asked about the origins of La Villa Staggiatto etc...

I told him I saw them in 77 and my MOM had to drive me. They opened up for Blue Oyster Cult. he laughed and we chatted etc....

Geddy did NOT socialize other than the required M and G.

and I dont blame him..... and in fact they normally dont at a M and G. There is a sheet of paper of RULES to follow, do's and donts. This interaction was in a private room, where Alex voluntarily came in because his friend (my client) was there.

It was just the song and it was sort of well..we wanted an instrumental with lots of time changes, had ideas etc... nothing firm. Said it took 2 months to workout, 2 takes to record. I thought that the movie "Beyond the lighted Stage" said differently but that is what he said.

Very cool, I saw RUSH in Columbus last month 9/20, great show! so many great songs and they closed with 2112
