I really don't mean to throw politics into the mix ... I feel like this is Christ Christie's 9/11.

I love the fact that he is the same guy in front of the cameras as he is off it. He's a born and raised Jersey guy, and you can tell this is killing him - and he is going to fight his (big) ass off to do the right thing for the state of NJ.

Nice Pic above, but surely not taken during actual Storm was it?

In any event, finally got my Gran on the phone, all is well, entire clan is safe and sound with one small exception.

One uncle was T-boned post-storm and has a cracked rib and the like, but he'll be fine. Some chucklehead ran a ran and bashing his car.

All consdiered, not too bad. Gran's house seems to have survived pretty well, no trees, no flood, just some siding damage.

/sigh of relief

Waited out the storm. Lost power for three days—back on now, 80 foot oak took out my dining room, couple of holes in the roof. Totally lucked out—10 feet over and it would have destroyed my house. GF and I are toughing it out (naked) with the dog, my sopne stayed at a neighbor who inexplicably had power. Been drinking and cooking (my gas stove top works as does my grill), made Weeds with Sausage (was going to give you dicks this recipe months ago, but neglected to do so—even PK and Betsy could make this and it’s outstanding). All in all, I can’t complain. Nothing like Quantum—oof dude, hope you make it through this.

Great pic Stokes! Get yourself a chain saw (GMC?) and enjoy some nice fires with that oak. Glad it wasn't too bad although I would say you got your fair share of damage.
