Actually, the ballot question in Mass. is to allow medical marijuana use, NOT full legalization. It's already been decriminalized for amounts under one ounce, with $100 fine being the "punishment". The fine is an empty threat, however, as there is no process to enforce payment.

Does anyone know how many states are putting actual legalization on the ballot other than Washington?

Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama were all recreational drug users. President Kennedy was a drug addict/abuser.

They became President, and then tossed a few tens of thousand of kids, just liek themselves, in prison.

While this issue is the least important in 2012, I agree it's time to get this fixed, the costs (spending) cut, and the laws and thrust of our efforts changed.
