I bet most of them will be on the ground after this next storm

I don't think anyone will be in the market for buying firewood in the tri-state area for a looong while.
I was talking with the guy who does our tree work and he said that one of the courses on the island lost 450 trees in the hurricane.

On one golf course? That's ****ing nuts.

Although I believe it...between my property and my immediate neighbors property, counted roughly 15 trees that came down (or will need to come down), and that's only on a 1 acre area.

Yeah, one course. Another had 250 and another 100+. And that's the only three courses I heard about. We had 40 down so I'm not complaining.

The tree guys were getting $500 an hour for a 4 man crew from Nassau County for emergency work.

2.0 = Fat guy walking across a room.

On an aside - looks like a good time to be a tree worker. Take a leave of absence from work, go buy a chainsaw and get out there. prolly make more money in a month than I make in a year.

Hope everyone's doing alright.

Did y'all see my Steelers whip the Giants ass yesterday?!

This is only from two trees, my neighbor and I still have at least 8 more trees we need to finish. My arms are dead from chainsawing...and for the record, , you can still get poison ivy in the fall.

Still beats being inside and hearing my brother-in-law complain about his siding getting ripped off of his house for the hundredth time
are some of those pine trees fish?

No, I'm not even sure what kind of these these were. The only 3 trees I know of are oak, maple, and pine - these were none of those. The only pine trees we have are those spindly little ****ers in the first picture.

Burning pine creates creosote, builds up in your chimney, greater risk of chimney fire, yes?

+1....even Boomer said this morning that the call on Rothlisbergers fumble would have been an incomplete pass had it been Brades.

And Boomer's pretty even handed.

Steelers are lucky that they could kneel out those final minutes, because Eli would prolly have atoned had he got the ball back. Got to give the kid that much.

Normally I would say yes, but they looked all out of sorts yesterday. I'll bet if it was the Jets that lost yesterday I'm sure the press would kill them with 'letting down all of the Hurricane victims' by not winning the game'.

So since I've put up this Vikings logo they have gone 0-2.
Which franchise should I hex next?

Try the Browns - Reverse jinx. Maybe they go undefeated the rest of the way.
