Last year, he was pretty good. i thought he would be even better this year. Oh well.
he wasn't that good last year ...a few lucky sacks. he has ALWAYS been pushed around at the line and his sacks came when coverage broke down and the QB was scrambling.

Complete bust player almost his entire time in the league, at least Rex and Pettine squeezed a little bit of productivity out of him last year. However, if they couldn't get anything out of him with a whole offseason, it's hard to believe anyone else can. His playing days may be done.

This is what's called a "wake up call". Completely predictable, supposed to, oooh, send a shudder across the locker room, shock and awe.

The Rex Ryan motivational method:

1. Tell everyone they are great.

2. Tell everyone you didn't have the pulse of the locker room.

3. Tell everyone you'll change.

4. Take the players to a "leadership" retreat.

5. Take the players to a sleep coach.

6. Tell everyone they are great.

7. Cut a player to scare them.

Too bad. I was hoping Maybin would step up this year and reach the next level. Looked good last season, not sure what happened.

Last year, Tanny and Rex were boasting how they were able to re-vitalize this kid’s career...look at them now.
If they REALLY wanted to scare the team, they cut the wrong LB. It’s gonna be a long offseason with these clowns runnin' the show.

Post New Story: Jets Waive Aaron Maybin; Sign RB Kahlil Bell

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The mayhem has come to an end for the New York Jets. For now at least.

The Jets announced they have waived linebacker Aaron Maybin on Tuesday amid a three-game losing streak. Dubbed at the start of the season as their top pass-rushing threat, Maybin failed to produce a sack in eight games in 2012.

He earned that label coming into this season after reviving his career with the Jets -- providing a team-high six sacks and four forced fumbles in thirteen games in Green and White. A former 11th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft...
