Ummmm, I don't seem to recall Champ Bailey, Von Miller or anyone else on the defense driving 95 yards down the field to score the GO AHEAD Touchdown, do you ?


It's just the way it works in the NFL Whomever scores the game winning TD gets the credit. If the Broncos had been down by 3 and had Miller strip sacked Sanchez and taken the ball in for the GAME WINNING TD, then guess what ? Yep, the DEFENSE would get credit for winning the game.

If Eddie Royal had fielded the punt and taken it back for the GO AHEAD, GAME WINNING TD, then Eddie Royal would have been celebrated and gotten credit for winning the game.

The only thing this doesn't really apply to is kickers as no one gives a **** about them . It's kind of how John Elway is famous for "The Drive", but almost no one remembers that Rich Karlis actually won that game in OT with a FG.

Showing that you don't know what you are talking about, no, it wasn't Miller on the pick 6, it was Andre Goodman. Furthermore, it wasn't Denver's only points before Tebow's "fluke broken play", as Denver had opened to scoring with a Matt Prater FG. Lastly, it wasn't a "fluke broken play", but rather, a designed QB run where Tebow beat Eric Smith and the rest of the Jets defense.
