It was an end around so that he could legitimately dodge the draft without looking as if he dodged the draft. At that time the National guard played a very, very small role in overseas conflict and there were hundreds of thousands trying to do just what he did to avoid Vietnam service. He had string pullers high enough to get him in and he could not even be bothered to actually live up to that obligation. If you believe that Wiki you probably actually believe he met the requirements academically to get into Princeton, same thing, he met the financial requirements to get in and to come out with a piece of paper saying he graduated.

What does any of that have to do with CBS running a story based upon clearly forged documents that they did not properly authenticate?
